Q. What Is Uni- Storage?
Uni-Storage is an easy, flexible storage solution specifically designed for students. You only pay for the space you need and the length of time you use it. Our clean, dry and secure storage units range from 0.65 cubic meters to 6 cubic meters. Uni-Storage is ideal when moving home, or creating more space at your existing property. Uni-Storage is a perfect solution busy students who need the flexibility of storing small amounts of personal effects without being tied into a lease or long-term rental agreement.
Q. Will by possessions be safe?
Our Uni-Storage centres are protected by the latest state-of-the-art 24 hour CCTV and police monitored security systems – for your total peace of mind. Only you or your authorised representative can access your Uni-Storage unit.
Q. Who provides the lock and who holds the key?
At Uni-Storage you will be issued with a personal pin code that grants you access to both you your locker and the building after hours.
Q. Is there a changing room and bathroom on site?
Currently no; but stage 2 of the facility will include male and female toilets with changing rooms.
Q. Is it possible to view the storage units before I rent?
Yes, it is always advisable to view any facility for your own peace of mind, so please call in and take a free no obligation tour.

Q. What happens when I order online?
A. You are emailed confirmation of all your payment details and also an email & password you chose to update your delivery details.
Q. How much notice do I need to give you?
None, you may call today and store today if you wish.
Q. Can I Ask a Friend to Drop-off My Stuff for Storage?
No, you must be present at the time of storage to provide identification for security reasons. See terms and conditions for accepted ID.
Q. If I need to cancel the Service After I have Booked, What Happens?
There maybe a charge depending on notice period, but if cancellation is 14 days before your collection date, then a full refund will be provided. See Terms and Conditions.
Q. Can we share with a friend?
Yes you can, but we will only collect or deliver to one place and we will only deal with one person, this is to protect the security of your goods
Q. Are there any hidden extras to pay for?
No, all you pay for is the monthly storage unit rental and insurance. No additional charges are made for heating, lighting, local authority rates etc.
Q. Do you provide Insurance cover?
We can extend our insurance policy to cover your items at the rate of $120.00 per thousand dollars of cover required per month. Alternatively you may arrange your own cover, however we will require confirmation of this.
Q. How do I work out how much space I need?

Q. What is the best way to pack my storage unit?
Place heavier and larger items on the floor and stack lighter boxes etc on top of these. Remember to put items you may need close to the door for easier access. See also our ‘hints and tips’ page.
Q. Do you charge when I access my storage unit?
No, you can come and go as often as you please free of charge.
Q. What are your opening hours?
Our Swanston street branch is staffed from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. But you can access your locker anytime day or night, 7 days a week with your personal pin number and locker key.
Q. What is the minimum or maximum storage period?
You can rent a storage unit for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months
Q. What paperwork is needed and do I need a solicitor?
All we need you to do is sign a simple one page Storage License Agreement. You do not require legal advice.
Q. How should I protect my items?
A. We recommend you purchase plastic covers which we sell for reasonable prices. Refer to our Packing Tips.
Q. Do you supply cartons and packing materials?
Yes, we have a wide range of boxes, cartons, bubble wrap, packing paper carry bags etc for sale from our Reception.
Q. Can you receive items on my behalf?
Yes, we can accept deliveries for you in your absence.
Q. Are there any items I cannot store?
You cannot store any perishable, inflammable liquids/gases, plants, pets or other illegal items. No internal combustion engines are permitted on site.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay be cash, cheque, debit or credit card PAYPAL (over the telephone if you wish). Alternatively we can arrange a standing order from your bank.
Q. Are my details kept private?
A. Yes, all information provided to us will be kept confidential. Refer to our Privacy Policy.
